Come with me if you want to live

For his artist statement at Parallel Vienna, Ernst Koslitsch presented a wood sculpture built from found wood, screws, and paint, alongside two finger paintings on canvas. The wood for the sculpture was collected from the surroundings of the Semmelweis Klinik itself, the historic building housing that year’s fair. The title nods to a well known line of dialogue often associated with a certain time travelling android, recast here within the wider narrative of Koslitsch’s Yellow Universe, where such references are folded into an invented, ongoing mythology.
